I’ve wanted to create a space like this for so long! Odd Hand + Friends is an artist collective - think The 3 Stooges if they were gay.
Here you’ll find pieces from Sketchy Creatures (Maddie), Rat Baby (Isobel) and a different branch of my own style.
All 3 of us make up the small team that keep Odd Hand Co. running behind the scenes, this is a place for us to express the weird ideas we come up with when the delulu hits deep into the work day. (Let's be real, it hits the second the 3 of us get into a room together).

Hello! I am Maddie (she/her) the elusive entity behind Sketchy_Creatures AND the reason for your sleep paralysis demons (Oop). If I had three wishes they would be world peace (💁🏻♀️) , a dinosaur comeback tour and a crispy Diet Coke (My one and only). I am based in Meanjin (Google it), I am autistic with a big dose of ADHD and I WILL touch every bug/animal I see. Creating weird and freaky shit is what I love to do and is 100% the backbone of Sketchy_Creatures. Remember kids - Be weird, be freaky, be a creature, life is too short to be boring so stop pretending.

My name is Han (they/them), i’m the odd ball (lol) behind ODD HAND CO. 🫒
ODD HAND CO. started in December 2024, with a silly idea to turn people into bugs. Since then it’s grown to a bunch of different types of portraits as well as the ODD HAND SHOP.
I’m based in Meanjin (Brisbane) and i’m proud to be a trans artist. 👨🎨🏳️⚧️ I'm inspired by the video games, cartoons, movies and music I grew up sharing with my Dad (and he had weird, iconic taste).
If it’s weird, I probably love it. So whatever your idea, however odd, I can make it a reality.

Howdy!! I’m Isobel! Usually the hidden partner behind ODD HAND. I come from a marketing background with 10 years in ads, so pivoting the art sphere has been a genuinely refreshing (and necessary) shift (IYKYK).
I’m drawn to messy, imperfect, weird and slightly abstract art. The kind that doesn’t take itself too seriously but still makes you feel something. I love playing with colour, character and things that feel a little off in the best way.
Expect playful chaos, emotional bits and art that doesn’t follow the rules too closely. Chaos incoming x
